This policy paper and toolkit proposes algorithmic impact assessments as a systematic framework of accountability for algorithmic decision making to support the next phase of the AI Strategy. It analyses existing models and case studies in the light of new evidence about use of algorithmic systems at work, highlighting key components to inform new regulation that will protect people and safeguard our fundamental values.
